Bonus 2012, How Many Months Have You Got ?Fair Deal ?

Anne:Tremendous work pressure,will hop after getting the bonus
after Chinese New Year!

Siva :Meng,you are great salesman,how many months of bonus have you got ? Hoping ?

Meng:One month, why hop ?

Anne got one month bonus, she hopped,but having service for 5 years,
Meng stays and becomes company shareholder and responsible to develop the new company!

Approaching new year, “Having bonus,hop or not hop”becoming the common topic,also became the underlying thought of the workplace.

Is Bonus that important ?Will hop after having it ?How many months does a company need to give as reasonable?Without bonus, should company to be blamed?

Year 2008 Euro/USA Sub-Prime Crisis affected our country economy, some of the companies tightened their cash flow due to slowing down of export business,retrenchment,wound –down though,nothing as allocating for any bonus per say.

The golden saying“Cash Is King”,allocating or not for the bonus depend very much upon company profit and sufficient cash on hand.

The 2nd half of 2011 was the beginning of Continuation Chapter of Sub-prime Crisis, 2012 will be a mix year, it is a important sustain cash despite profiting,a pro-active action to face the current economic turbulent.

Allocation of bonus will be very much depending upon the resilient against the turbulent.

3 kind of workplace structure :

Senior Strategic Management Executives- concern about strategic functions,creation of value chain,core team,career path in depth ,maximum income and perks package, resilient。

Middle Administrative and Management Executives- concern about administrative capability,right career path,point of positioning,widening personal popularity in the industry,exploring better income and perks package,learning work place pressure.

Non-Administrative Executives- concern about looking for higher salary, bonus, work experience, changing jobs to find career positioning, weak in handling pressure.

Different workplace personnel will have different needs, it’s not easy to embrace belief of‘Hop after Bonus’ and leave the company,hence,it will not be co-incident for the Management Executive to be offered with new job during the time of bonus allocation。

The reality of months of Bonus allocation could be reviewed throughout the Malaysia experience.

1990-1995- Asia Era,Speculative of South East Asia Hot Money,Stock Broking issued Bonus of 24 months;1995-2005- dot.com Era, China Entering WTO -led Property Boom;2005-2010- Euro/USA Sub-Prime led to Middle-East Infrastructure Boom,,sparking of India development to balance the over-heated China development and etc..!

Exposing to these industries in the right era,reflecting ‘meeting by chance’ in the lifetime。

In search of lucrative Bonus, very much depend upon the Matrix of Timing, Place, People and..Fortune , it is not the simple rule of‘A Hop, A Jump In Bonus’.
