KUALA LUMPUR - A phony consultant company inviting small and medium industries (SMIs) to become suppliers to a government agency is making its rounds.
The new tactic came to light after a businessman came forward to warn other SMIs to be careful when they receive such unsolicited invitations.

Print & Pack Solution Sdn Bhd general manager Alan Wong, 37, said his company received an invitation through facsimile bearing the letterhead of the Agro-based Product Marketing Board.
Wong said he had reservations about the invitation as it was faxed but he took the chance as he was interested in getting more business.

"I prepared a packet with the required documents and a RM6,000 (S$2,430) post-dated cheque as deposit. That way, I thought if anything went wrong, I could still recover the money," Wong said.

After the packet was hand delivered to the consultant company's office on Aug 16, Wong received a call the same day telling him that his application could not be processed because of the post-dated cheque.

Sensing something amiss, Wong told the general manager, who said his name was Tan Chun Hoe, that he wanted to withdraw his application.
Three days later, Wong received a call from his bank regarding the RM6,000 post-dated cheque that he had issued.

He immediately cancelled the cheque and lodged a police report at the Dang Wangi police headquarters.

"The date on the cheque had been altered to Aug 1 from Aug 31," Wong said.
MCA National Youth Strategic Planning Research Bureau chief Neil Foo Seck Chyn, who called the press conference, urged companies which had encountered the same scam to lodge a police report.

父親的美籍華人老友小農叔叔邊看電視清談節目《新聞多看點》,邊評罵時評人錯誤的說明美國公民滿21歲就自動成為選民的論點。

 小農叔叔大聲地評:“那嘉賓是誰,亂蓋,亂套,誤導大馬聽眾!”

 他的意思是,哪怕所謂民主先進的美國,人民也得登記為選民, 哪有自動之事。

 國際新聞報導美國議會通過提高債務上限,總統奧巴馬揚言將在10年內又想要把美國的經濟怎么樣又怎么樣……

 Obama……Oh,Big Mouth!

 小農叔叔反應特大說……大嘴巴。

 當下,我腦裡浮現著音樂頑童庾澄慶的一首歌,“嘿嘿嘿嘿,大眼睛,啦啦啦啦啦啦……Mambo!”

 奧巴馬的競選宣言“Change”,“Change the World”。

 小農叔叔又觸到神經線:大嘴巴反映美國黑人先說了算的本性。

 Obama……Oh,Big Mouth,還沒改變美國,好高鶩遠,哪來改變世界的本事?

 大嘴巴的嘴改變不了山姆又出現次貸經濟風暴雙低煞風景,大嘴巴支持率39%出現新低,管理美國經濟認同度只有25% !

當選因非純黑人

 我問奧巴馬是黑人總統或是半個白人總統?

 小農叔叔回應:“沒錯,大嘴巴當選因非純黑人,一半的選票衝著他媽媽白人血統而投,他是半個白人總統。”

 心裡一涼,我的分析得到美國人的背書,非蓋的。

 最近,與擁有共和黨及民主黨背景的美國青年政治領袖交流。我們得到了一些訊息,也就是熱血的年輕人偏向民主,自然地支持民主黨;步入高收入中年期的美國人,就開始轉投支持共和黨的低稅率政策的現象。

 美國有個“嘿嘿嘿嘿,大嘴巴”,“想”要改“變”世界, 大馬也有人推崇“變”、“換”。

 思變是個人權利,我們尊重。

 但是,換人變變看與換人騙騙看是一線之差喲。大嘴巴與小嘴巴也是前后不是人喲……

 換人賭賭看,擁有黑人大嘴巴特性的大馬人並不少也……什么“超人”變底褲在外,胖型“卡嚓……李小龍”,還有還有“大嘴巴罵粗話的年輕大狀”。

 “換”,也可有“換回”的一天。

 嘿嘿嘿嘿,大嘴巴,啦啦啦啦啦……Mampus!

直区侯选人

挑知名度勝算高候選人‧直區馬華“天兵”攻城

(吉隆坡20日訊)馬華積極部署來屆大選的工作,在聯邦直轄區調兵遣將,誓要重奪5個失去的國會選區,即武吉免登、蕉賴、士布爹、旺沙瑪朱及敦拉薩鎮,但為了避免受到地區“山頭主義”的自我破壞,馬華將調派“天兵”,包括具有知名度與勝算高的候選人,其中馬華總部公共服務及投訴部主任拿督張天賜也是人選之一。
在308大選,馬華在聯邦直轄區的這5個國會選區全軍覆沒;據瞭解,為了避免歷史重演,領導層下令各區部不能再存有“山頭主義”,再加上很多區會處於冬眼狀態,很少活動,所以馬華將派出“天兵”出擊。

區會多處冬眼
馬華一位不願具名的領袖向《光明日報》指出,如果馬華候選人獲得出戰原屬民政黨的甲洞國會選區,聯邦直轄區州聯委會主席拿督斯里陳財和的兒子,即敦拉薩區團團長陳國永飛象過河到甲洞初試啼聲的呼聲最高。
這位知情的領袖披露,一旦陳國永在甲洞上陣,敦拉薩鎮的候選人將會由“天兵”競選,或有可能出現的“天兵”

相信是因山埃事件而備受彭亨州勞勿選民不滿與爭議的馬華副總會長拿督斯里黃燕燕,將飛離老巢轉戰該選區。

不過,他認為以黃燕燕邁入“耳順之年”之高齡,未必會獲得選民的青睞,倒不如委派具有高知名度的候選人,其中一位人選是張天賜。
燕燕或離勞勿老巢

張天賜接受《光明日報》訪問時披露,前兩位馬華總會長敦林良實與丹斯里黃家定領導的年代,他們都曾獻意他代表馬華出征,但都被他婉拒,所以他暗示來屆大選上陣意願的答案已是不言而喻,而表示一切“船到橋頭自然直”。

他強調,他雖然代表馬華處理協助解決民眾的投訴問題,可是,這不代表他會獲得選民的支持。
不過,他表示,願意無條件協助馬華候選人贏取議席,尤其是曾幫助他很多的兩位馬華副總會長拿督斯里曹智雄與拿督林祥才、蒲種區會副主席拿督湯木及華都牙也區團團長林炳順,如果他們4人披甲上陣,他會全力協助他們競選。

財和退隱助兒攻甲洞

在眾將爭著在來屆大選上陣之際,從政多年的馬華總財政拿督陳財和卻萌生退隱政壇之意,無心再戀戰,因此他極力從旁扶持兒子陳國永延續他的政治生命。
一位知情的馬華領袖聲稱,陳國永這位政壇後起之秀已是黨內圈定的準候選人,若他不能在甲洞代父上陣,就會留在敦拉薩鎮競選。

區會領袖上陣意願不高
至於為何敦拉薩區會的領袖不願攻打該選區,這位領袖說,區會主席周連瓊已被黨中委會核准推薦以受委為上議員,大選時不太可能競選議席。

“區會其他領袖,包括區會秘書符策勤出戰的意願不高,所以,國陣委派馬華外來‘天兵’與公正黨候選人對壘,也不令人感意外。”

他強調,直轄區的馬華選區不是每個黨員都是想力爭當候選人,尤以敦拉薩鎮選區最為明顯。
姚長祿或無緣上陣

旺沙瑪朱國會選區是馬華在來屆大選有望重奪失土的選區之一,因此,當地馬華在308大選敗北後,仍然勤於繼續在該區進行為民服務的工作,準備來屆大選時一洗前恥。

盛傳馬華將交換選區

不過,近來盛傳馬華將與國陣巫統交換該選區,因此,308大選僅以150張微差的多數票敗北的該區會主席拿督姚長祿已遭除名。

姚長祿受詢時向《光明日報》表示,他不願針對黨是否已跟友黨交換選區的課題置評,只聲明他對選區服務的工作一樣照做下去。

根據知情人士透露,馬華旺沙瑪朱區會只提呈一名屬意候選人的名單,這人即是姚長祿。
料顏駿任戰武吉免登

馬華在武吉免登區的候選人多屆都難以撼倒老樹盤根的民主行動黨強人方貴倫,若無意外,來屆大選馬華將推派區會秘書顏駿任披上戰袍迎戰方貴倫。

顏駿任也是聯邦直轄區“一個馬來西亞工作隊”副隊長,他與大隊長陳元虎等人藉著工作隊為名聯袂展開為民服務的工作,以工作隊的團隊形象出擊,以爭取選民的歡心,也為馬華贏取選票。
至於士布爹區候選人,一般相信馬華或會再次讓該區會副主席兼聯邦直轄區“一個馬來西亞工作隊”大隊長陳元虎重作馮婦,挑戰行動黨候選人。

陳元虎曾於1999年代表國陣在該區上陣,卻飲恨沙場,不過,至今他依然活耀於選區的服務工作,也出任市政局諮詢理事會的成員。

黃敬修或上陣蕉賴

至於蕉賴選區,知情的馬華領袖表示,區會雖有意安排讓區會副主席黃敬修代表黨上陣,惟他本身出線的意願不高。

這位領袖說,這尤其可從黃敬修在區會代表大會上曾提出,黨應在來屆大選以“王對王”硬碰反對黨候選人,而非選擇所謂的安全區叫陣的建議,顯示了他的政治動向。
他披露,該區會的馬青蕉賴區團服務中心主任張志輝則有意爭取上陣,不時接獲與協助處理人民處理的民生投訴課題,藉此打響個人名堂。

他說,該區會還有一名有意力爭在蕉賴出征的領袖,即該區團團長卓建國,他是潛在的候選人之一。
不過,他也說,不久前有傳言指卓建國已辭去黨職,可是,根據內部查詢發現,至今黨並未正式接獲有關他辭去黨職的辭呈;因此,他們不排除卓建國是以聲東擊西之勢,試探黨領袖對他未來動向的反應。(光明日報)

外劳过马路。地铁!

每天早上,孟加拉籍外劳“加新”拎着“格子饭”穿梭大小弄巷,左看右看深察路况,大步过马路……

那边厢,用过了柬普寨女佣准备的早餐,胡老板精神抖擞的开着车……驶至十字路口,左眼右眼,视线及脑海里惯性的又浮现“外劳过马路”的情景。

置身其中,胡老板停了停,让徒步的,踏脚车的,满脸抹上白粉末的越南工厂妹过马路。

大马百万外劳过马路的奇景连续上画追票房……

已离开一年的前缅甸籍工人“阿翁”,出奇不意致电给胡老板,道明想重新加入公司上班。

胡老板回复:“好!考虑看看。”

公司男同事们每人都有辆车,每早也一样必须过关斩将,排除万难准时上班,但得来不易……堵着来。

大伙心想,“唉…有地铁多好”。

女同事也有车,但是必须借驶哥哥出国时的“空档车”方可开来上班;要不然,哥哥必须每天送接她。

她想,“唉,有​​地铁多好”。

怎可能不建地铁?

大吉隆坡地铁计划正进入推展期,电台访问了几位社会人士,包括胡老板,发表对此计划的看法。

“吉隆坡如日本、香港、新加坡、北京、上海、深圳、广州、台北等的密集人口型、高车流量堵车的城市,地铁计划势在必行。大吉隆坡近700万人口,每平方公里7000人口的密集构造,怎可能不建地铁呢?”胡老板侃侃而谈。

胡老板补充建议地铁计划应“先城后铁”,而非如轻快铁计划下乘客无几的“先铁后城”方式,围着几个房地产发展商而建的模式。

“先城后铁”意解为地铁站应该建在久已成型的综合性地区,如两平方公里内拥有产业链之密集住宅区+公车转站+商业街市+超霸市+办公大楼。

胡老板立刻致电外劳代理问个究竟。

是的,代理说“加新”可能出走了,参与“外劳漂白”去了。

曾经是“咖啡店小子、面包厂助手”的胡老板,拉起衣袖到仓库里搬货。

或许,“加新”加入了建设地铁工程吧?!胡老板阿Q阿Q……

八月份──“外劳过马路”、“先逃跑,后漂白”、“先城后铁”,是大马的写照!

The Young Ones www.goodtimes.my

Making a difference ... young politicians are changing the political scene with their passion and fresh ideas.

An interesting characteristic of the current political landscape is the many young people who have joined the different political parties and are rising up the ranks. GoodTimes.my interviewed some of them to find out why they joined the tough world of politics.

Both sides of the political divide were interviewed and found to be deeply passionate about their chosen field.

While heavily involved in politics, some of them have to juggle other roles as well.
Neil Foo (MCA), for example, is not only a key figure spearheading youth strategies in Barisan Nasional, he is also an entrepreneur who has built a successful flooring business along with his other responsibilities as husband and father to two young children.

These young politicians are fortunate to have supportive and understanding families.


We asked these politicians three questions each and their responses are below:

1) Why did you choose to be involved in politics?

“I was very much the influenced by my father who was a youth leader (in MCA) in the 1980s, so I grew up exposed to the workings of the party. This cultivated an interest towards youth-related activities and politics.” - Neil Foo Seck Chyn, 45, Chief of MCA National Youth Strategic Planning Research Bureau

2) Why did you choose your political party?


Foo ... can do a lot more in the ruling party.

“Partly because of my father’s participation in MCA Youth. However, in the 1980s, he was sacked from the party for being too vocal and since then he has supported the opposition. During my younger days, especially while in university, I too was a supporter of the opposition parties. But after working for a few years, I thought deeply about it and realised that I could do a lot more by being a part of the ruling party (Barisan Nasional) because they have the structure and the resources.” – Foo, MCA

“ I believe that if you want to help the community and the country, you must be well-prepared – in terms of your wealth, your income, among other things. I hope that with my business I can add value to the party and serve the community.” – Foo, MCA
